Our Mission
Mission Statement St. Ignatius Catholic School, a ministry of St. Ignatius Parish in Springhill, strives to educate the whole child by providing a quality Catholic education in a safe and caring learning environment. Focusing on Jesus the Redeemer, children are encouraged to strive for excellence in spiritual, academic, social and physical activities. Through a variety of curricular and extracurricular activities, children are taught to become productive and exemplary Christian leaders for the future.
About Our School
The Sisters of Mercy opened St. Ignatius Catholic School in 1952, teaching children in kindergarten through fourth grade. Although the Sisters of Mercy departed from the school in 1980, their spirit lives on in the rich tradition they started over sixty-four years ago.
Today, we teach children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, on one campus in Spring Hill. St. Ignatius is a community school serving both our parish and the greater Spring Hill area. We provide an outstanding education in an environment that nurtures and supports our Catholic faith. Families are involved through volunteer opportunities, special events including: Grandparents Day, Pre-K Family Picnic, and by joining our children for mass every Friday.
