About Our School

Northside Catholic Academy is comprised of diverse communities united to build the Kingdom of God one child at a time. Formed in 1994, the school is a regional archdiocesan school serving four parishes on the far northside of Chicago. The school serves a diverse population with 24 languages spoken in families, and is a traditional Big Shoulders school with 20% free and reduced lunch and Title I services. NCA has adopted four holy Catholic men and women as models for our students and has organized the school into houses named after these models: St. Carlo Acutis, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, Venerable Augustus Tolton, and Servant of God Dorothy Day. The school has adopted a virtue-based restorative discipline program and is working toward revising and integrating curriculum and instructional practices around a Catholic liberal arts approach.
