St. Thomas More Academy is seeking a full-time K–5 Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year to join a joyful faculty dedicated to assisting parents in forming young hearts and minds into saints through the Catholic Liberal Arts Tradition. Teaching assignments will be determined according to school needs and candidate strengths. The Elementary Teacher will cultivate wonder and delight in learning while providing strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, catechesis, history, science, and the fine arts. Within an orderly classroom rooted in joy and charity, the teacher will guide students in forming habits of attention, discipline, and love of truth and beauty. The ideal candidate recognizes that the elementary years are foundational academically and spiritually and desires to partner closely with parents in forming virtuous children.
A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the Liberal Arts. Teaching experience is preferred, though classical formation will be provided for mission-aligned candidates. Applicants must be practicing Catholics in good standing and willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. St. Thomas More Academy is an independent PK–8 NAPCIS-accredited Catholic classical school in historic Middletown, Maryland.
