Job Description: St. Paul School, a K-8 Catholic Elementary School in the heart of Noe Valley is seeking a full-time teacher for 4th Grade for the 2026-2027.
Job Responsibilities include:
Instruction and Curriculum
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with California state standards and diocesan curriculum guidelines.
• Teach core subjects including Religion, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology tools, and assessments to promote student achievement.
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Catholic Identity and Faith Formation
• Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily instruction and classroom activities.
• Foster students’ spiritual growth through prayer, religious instruction, and participation in school liturgies and faith-based activities.
• Serve as a positive role model reflecting Christian values and professional conduct.
• Support the mission and philosophy of the school and Catholic education.
Classroom Management
• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment for 22 fourth grade students.
• Implement effective classroom management practices that encourage responsibility, self-discipline, and positive behavior.
• Promote social-emotional learning and character development.
Communication and Collaboration
• Maintain open and professional communication with parents, guardians, colleagues, and school administration.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success and school initiatives.
• Work effectively with support personnel, specialists, and volunteers.
Professional Responsibilities
● Attend faculty meetings, professional development programs, and diocesan training as required.
● Stay current with educational best practices and curriculum developments.
● Fulfill all diocesan, school, and state requirements regarding student safety and professional conduct.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Requirements/Qualifications:
● Must hold a BA from accredited college or university
● California teaching credential preferred
● Practicing Catholic preferred
