St. Luke School is enthusiastically seeking a Middle School Math Teacher in the Middle Years Program for the 2026-27 academic year. This is a full-time position.

St. Luke Primary Years (PYP) and Middle Years (MYP) offer co-ed programs in Preschool through Grade 8, welcoming students from around the world.  We are a fully authorized International Baccalaureate World School delivering IB programming to all our students.

Position Overview: We are looking for a candidate who will join, with enthusiasm and creativity,  committed teachers and staff who offer a learning environment where all students are engaged and valued for their unique gifts.   We are proud to be in the first Catholic International Baccalaureate World School for both the Primary and Middle Years programs on the West Coast.

Specifically, the Middle School Math Teacher will:

  • Teach mathematics (including Algebra and Geometry) and other middle school courses following the Common Core and Archdiocesan Standards
  • Collaborate with members of the MYP staff and IB MYP coordinator as a whole.
  • Creates a positive classroom environment that supports the whole child and actively addresses the needs of diverse learners.
  • Engage fully in professional development opportunities, and serving on committees, as called.
  • Communicate effectively with parents informally as needed and formally through consistent recording of progress and comments in an electronic gradebook (Toddle) and in narrative reports during the marking periods each trimester.
  • Is familiar with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme or desire to learn about and receive professional development training (provided by St. Luke school);
  • Utilizes data to drive instruction.
  • Has skills to utilize technology to aid instruction, assessment, and learning.
  • Promotes Catholic Identity and social justice, preferably has experience working in a Catholic or private school, and adheres to the requirements of following Catholic church teachings.

Qualifications

MYP Middle School teacher should:

  • Hold a BA or higher degree;
  • Preferably, hold an MA degree;
  • Hold a current WA State Teacher Certificate or be eligible for one;

Salary and benefits

Salary range: 59,000 – 98,000 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
