Physical Training Instructor

St. Joseph the Just School for Boys is seeking a part-time physical training instructor for the 2026-27 academic year. The mission of St. Joseph the Just is to forge young men of character through a rigorous program of intellectual, physical, and practical arts, challenging students to grow in virtue in order to fulfill their individual vocations to know, love, and serve God, their families, and communities. The school is located in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains with easy access for educational experiences with nature.

St. Joseph the Just provides single-sex Catholic Classical Education for grades 7-12. Instructors are expected to provide both professional presentation of course content and personal witness of the Catholic Faith to the young men they instruct.

The particular emphasis of St. Joseph the Just flows from its mission to form young men through a rigorous program of physical and practical arts as well as intellectual arts. What St. Joseph is looking for in the 2026-27 academic year is a man who can plan and execute a program for the physical education of young men grades 7-12, 8-10 hours per academic week, including conventional physical fitness, organized intramural sports, and ideally rudimentary mountaineering.
