Website St. John Paul II Academy Olathe, Kansas
St. John Paul II Academy in Olathe, Kansas – currently in its inaugural year as a Catholic Liberal Arts school in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas – is seeking a faith-filled teacher who aspires to the noble task of helping young children grow in wisdom and virtue. Our theology is rooted in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and nurtured through an integrated curriculum, where moral and intellectual excellence are paramount.
We are accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year for a 1st or 2nd/3rd grade classroom teacher. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in the liberal arts in addition to classical pedagogy and curriculum – whether through an undergraduate program of study or certification from a classical accreditation organization. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation is also desirable.
We are also in need of a kindergarten aide who desires to enrich the classroom experience for all children by assisting the classroom teacher with literacy and math instruction, small and large group learning, and general classroom guidance.
St. John Paul II Academy Mission:
Through an integrated curriculum, which draws upon the best of mankind’s answers to life’s deepest questions, we will form children enlightened by grace, freed of error and alive with wonder at the Love that moves the sun in heaven and all the stars.
St. John Paul II Academy Vision:
To cultivate a wise vision of life in the children whose parents partner with us to form critical thinkers and virtuous doers, fully alive, joyful and faithful to Jesus – the way, the truth, and the life.
With a charism of “A Joyful Pursuit of Excellence”, we seek individuals whose joy and love for children undergird their teaching and faith.
