St. John Bosco Academy is a small, private, Catholic pre-K-12 school in beautiful Cottonwood, Idaho. We are seeking a full-time high school Humanities teacher to teach and inspire students in Literature as well as, potentially, Informal Logic and possibly an elective course dependent upon experience and interests.
The ideal candidate would be a dedicated, practicing Catholic on fire for the faith and desiring to share it with students through curriculum, instruction, and relationship. Familiarity with Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) curriculum is a bonus, and experience in a variety of instructional methods including direct instruction, seminars, Socratic questioning, and project-based learning is greatly desired. The ability to work as a team member with other faculty and staff in helping to form students using the St. John Bosco method of preventative discipline through reason, religion, and kindness is a must.
