The Director of Recruiting at St. Jerome Institute Northern Virginia (SJI NOVA) will build, manage, and further relationships with current and prospective stakeholders through meaningful interactions, primarily in-person and individually, for the sake of building a robust student pipeline.

St. Jerome Institute (SJI), is a co-ed, classical liberal arts high school in the Catholic tradition. Description
Reporting to the Head of School, the Director of Recruiting will personally cultivate relationships with local parents, pastors, and principals to identify families and students who both desire and would benefit from SJI’s educational program.
Creating and implementing an engagement plan that focuses on developing relationships with pastors, principals, and parent groups so that they become advocates and promoters of SJI’s mission.
Tracking all prospective student interactions in database/relationship management software.
Providing a regular summary to the Head of School of meaningful interactions with stakeholders and prospective families.
Organizing events for prospective families to visit SJI and see our incredible educational program in action.
Securing commitments from families to enroll their student at SJI NOVA.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active Catholic with a commitment to SJI’s mission and passion for liberal education
- Passion for people and interacting individually with them
- Strong ability to converse with others of various ages, backgrounds, and viewpoints
- Virtue of humility and the ability to be coached
- Ability to regularly set and conduct donor visits in a methodical and disciplined manner
- Excellent listening, public speaking, and verbal persuasion skills
- Energetic self-starter with positive, optimistic attitude and a strong sense of initiative
- Strong collaboration, planning, and implementation skills
