St. Coleman Catholic School in Pompano Beach, Florida is looking for a full-time Middle School Religion Teacher to teach grades 7 and 8 for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. The teacher’s duties are to achieve the goals of Catholic education; show evidence of knowledge of the Catholic philosophy of education; promote Catholic values; uphold the standards of the Catholic Church; and provide opportunities for the students to be prepared for life in today’s Church and society. The Middle School Religion Teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on education and years of service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Education, or related field.
- Current Catechist certification preferred but may be in the process of obtaining certification for consideration.
- Excellent classroom management skills and have demonstrated ability to engage students.
- Presentation skills and knowledge with use of instructional technology, including chrome book, in the classroom.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
- Proficiency in Google, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Catholic in good standing.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Exemplified professionalism in behavior and performance.
