Kindergarten Assistant Teacher

South Hills Catholic Academy, located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, is seeking a Kindergarten Assistant teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

South Hills Catholic Academy is an independent Catholic school created and funded by a group of lay people. It is a financially independent, non-profit school governed by a board of directors and supported by benefactors and modest tuition. The Academy is built on 3 pillars: – Ensuring that a Catholic education is accessible to all children in the Pittsburgh region. – Preparing students for higher education through a curriculum based on traditional education. – Providing a rich spiritual formation with a vibrant sacramental and devotional life at the center of the school mission. We are looking for a Kindergarten Assistant Teacher who can assist the Kindergarten Teacher in bringing these three pillars to life at South Hills Catholic Academy while working closely with the administration team to implement. Our classical PreK–8 program is intentionally designed to cultivate wonder, attentiveness, and a love of learning in young students. All teachers and assistant teachers help students build strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, and the Catholic faith while guiding them in the habits of order, attentiveness, and joyful participation in the life of the classroom.  All staff members at South Hills Catholic Academy play an important role in the intellectual, moral, and spiritual formation of students and are expected to support the Catholic mission of the school.
