Job Title: Instructional Aide
2026-2027 Hourly Salary: $30.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
● August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027
● Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm
● Some evenings and weekends may be required for special events
Rest/Lunch Breaks:
● Two 15-minute breaks
● one 30-minute unpaid lunch

Employees are responsible for paying their health care deductions during summer months when no paychecks are issued (Late June, July, Early August). This is usually accomplished by double health deductions for the last four payrolls of the school year. Job Summary: Provides classroom support by assisting with instruction, including small group and one-on-one support, reinforcing lessons, and supporting differentiated learning. Helps maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment by supporting classroom routines, managing behavior, and supervising students during transitions, recess, lunch duty, arrival, and dismissal. Assists with preparing materials, organizing the classroom, communicating with the teacher about student progress, and supporting students with diverse learning needs while promoting independence and positive interactions. When the teacher is absent, leads the class by implementing lesson plans, maintaining expectations, and managing the classroom independently while keeping administration informed.

● Completed degree (BA or BS) preferred but not required ● Classroom experience ● CPR & First Aid Training ● Safe Environment Training ● Fingerprinting- Background Check
● A strong work ethic and understanding of Catholic education
● Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate student progress
Job Responsibilities ● Assist Lead Teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with Archdiocesan Standards. ● Teach small groups (specifically in Language Arts and Math) and engage with students throughout the day. ● Support coverage of duties if/when the Lead Teacher is absent. ● Assess students regularly, analyze student results, and refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs. ● Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school; share best practices. ● Assist the lead teachers in communicating with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress. ● Manage student behavior following restorative practices to ensure every student is fully engaged. ● Actively participate in professional development activities and work closely with Lead Teachers, principals, and instructional coaches. ● Maintain accurate student records, including attendance. ● Able to cover the classroom when the lead teacher is absent.
● Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs. ● Support the mission, vision, and core values of St. Raymond School. ● Assist in covering assigned recess duties as required by staff members. ● Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, lift, carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, see, hear, and use their hands for fine and gross motor functions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as needed.
