Saint Francis Xavier Academy (FXA) is a joyful, family-centered Catholic hybrid academy launching in Dedham, MA this fall, 2026. Uniting the invaluable gifts of the home with the benefits of structured classroom days, FXA operates on a unique schedule: two full in-person instructional days on campus (Tuesdays and Thursdays) complemented by three home days guided by provided lesson plans. Our educational philosophy is deeply rooted in the Catholic tradition and inspired by the heart of St. John Bosco.
Position Overview
FXA is seeking a joyful, faith-filled Preschool Teacher (Part-Time) to lead our PK3 or PK4 classroom. The ideal candidate loves early childhood development, thrives in a collaborative community, and is passionate about guiding young children into the great wonders of God. This position requires on-campus instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays, along with minimal prepping at home.
Key Responsibilities
• In-Person Instruction: Lead a warm, structured, Christ-center, and play-based preschool classroom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, focusing on foundational academic skills. Teachers will be provided selected texts and pacing guides for implementing lessons in the classroom.
• Classroom Leadership: Partner effectively with the Preschool Assistant to create a safe, orderly, and joyful learning environment.
• Faith Formation: Infuse daily routines, stories, and play with the beauty of the Catholic faith, following the gentle educational spirit of St. John Bosco.
• Collaboration: Positive collaboration with administrators, colleagues, and families, to support the launch of a new academic community.
Qualifications
• Practicing Catholic with a strong comfort level integrating the Catholic faith across diverse academic disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or similar field
• Proven ability to work with students, organize curriculum, and communicate clearly.
