Our Lady of the Pillar Academy TK-8 (OLPA), located in beautiful Half Moon Bay and within the Archdiocese of San Francisco, is a Catholic, classical grade school and we are looking for teachers for the upcoming school year.
Our mission is to build abundant lives along the Coastside, through Catholic, classical education.
Founded in 2023, OLPA has experienced tremendous early growth. Bringing together the time-tested approach of classical education and the innovative nature of the technologically-driven area in which we live, we instill Christian virtues, hone skills in logic and rhetoric, and foster a joyful existence in a world often dominated by materialism and despair. We guide our students towards experiencing the timeless treasures of goodness, truth, and beauty in abundance so that we all might know, love, and serve Christ to the fullest!

OLPA is a Catholic organization, and employees should be in good standing with the Church with a good understanding of Church teaching, and willing to take an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium on all doctrinal matters.
Preference for this role is given to candidates with training in The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and/or Montessori or classical curriculum.

Maintain the appearance and demeanor of ladies and gentlemen of classical formal academia including a tie for men. No denim, bare shoulders, low-cut tops, or visible tattoos.
Maintain a California Driver’s License in good standing, with your own insured automobile appropriate for travel to and from offsite school functions.
Teaching certification is not required
Compensation & Work Schedule
Base Annual Salary $62k-$100k commensurate with experience
HRA (Health Reimbursement Arrangement) – $6,150 for single employees and $12,450 for employees with families.
Reimbursement for using your own computer and smartphone for work on the job.
This position is based on 185 on-campus days, plus a willingness to devote additional time as needed for:
Lesson planning, classroom set up and admissions and administrative work beginning the 3rd week of August.
Community outreach and/or other PR events in evenings or on weekends. Other meetings/events that occasionally might need to occur after normal school hours, during instructional weeks like parent/teacher conferences, spiritual retreats, drama productions, etc. (up to 8 in the year)
Grade reporting, classroom clean-up and other year-end wrap up some days after the last day of school (up to one week after the last day of school).
