Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate Math teacher for the 9th–12th grade. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in their field but also someone who has a deep love of the True, Good, and Beautiful and seeks to inculcate that love in our students by fostering wonder and lively discussion in an authentically Catholic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction: Deliver engaging, Socratic, and text-based lessons aligned with our Catholic classical curriculum.
Faith & Culture: To witness to the mystery of God in the classroom and to live out ones Faith communally at the school by attending daily Mass and praying with the students and teachers.
Mentorship: Create a “household” that introduces students to a specific Charism/Order and allows for mentorship across grades.
Assessment: Create clear lesson objectives and utilize both formative and summative assessments.
Community: Collaborate with faculty, participate in school events, and contribute to the vibrant culture of the school (e.g., House system, retreats).
Qualifications
Faith Requirements: Must be a practicing Catholic willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 0-5 years of teaching experience, ideally within a classical, liberal arts, or Great Books setting.
Skills: Exceptional communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. A deep passion for mentoring high schoolers.
