Full time position for a joyful Grade 2 teacher in a regional archdiocese school serving 4 parishes on the far northeast side of Chicago. Strong academics and culturally diverse Title 1 school — with families from around the world –that is in transition toward a more classical curriculum and pedagogy. Teacher will be preparing students for First Holy Communion. We will provide professional development on our phonics, reading and math programs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
● Minimum of a 4-year undergraduate degree
● Valid educator license preferred
● Experience and passion for teaching early elementary school-age students
● Desire to embrace the Catholic ethos of the school
● Knowledge of early literacy
● Knowledge of differentiated instruction and working with students with diverse learning needs
● Strong classroom management skills
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Sense of humor and willingness to be flexible and supportive of the overall school program
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Salary commensurate with the Archdiocese of Chicago Elementary Salary Scale with additional stipends based on experience; medical/dental benefits eligible; (full-time position).
