Part- or Full-Time Teaching Position: Elementary Science Teacher

Summary: Under the supervision of the Principal. The ideal candidate will possess relevant classroom experience; strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; flexibility; comfort with a variety of tasks/roles; a collaborative spirit; and a commitment to Catholic education. The teacher is an integral member of the teaching team in developing and enhancing established curriculum, as well as modeling a culture of learning and professionalism at Holy Name School. Part or Full time offering based on teacher availability and/or teaching experience
Requirements & Expectations:
● Bachelor degree from an accredited four-year college or university
● Commit to the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year and teach 6th grade science (two 50-minute classes per day), with the ability to support additional single-grade classes in the K–5 levels as needed
● Monday–Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with possible expansion of hours
● Experience working with students 7-12 years of age (required); Classroom teaching experience (preferred)
● Implement the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) through effective lesson planning, hands-on instruction, and integrated laboratory experiences using provided curriculum materials
● Plan and deliver instruction aligned with curriculum goals, assess student learning through a variety of assignments and assessments, and maintain current lesson plans and an organized, accurate gradebook.
● Demonstrate strong classroom management, organization, and instructional effectiveness
● Utilize and integrate instructional technology in the classroom on a daily basis
● Communicate effectively and collaboratively with parents, faculty, and students within a team-oriented school environment
● Integrate and model the Catholic values and mission of Holy Name School through classroom instruction, student engagement and interactions with faculty, staff, students, and parent community

Salary: $27.94 – $53.81 (part time hourly rate range) – $54,500 – $104,931 Base Range (full time range) (Additional compensation for advanced degrees and certifications); Benefits available for 20+ hours
