Part-Time Position: Afternoon Extended Care Aide
Holy Name is a vibrant Catholic School located in the Outer Sunset District of San Francisco, where each child is valued and encouraged to be a committed member of our diverse Christian community. Summary: Under the supervision of the Extended Care Director and Principal of Holy Name School; As an extended care aide, the ideal candidate would be responsible for supervising and providing an appropriately safe, caring and fun environment for the children enrolled in the program. Extended care aides assist with the needs of the students and support learning by creating a quiet atmosphere where students can complete homework and enrich the students socially, emotionally and physically.
Extended Care Program operates:
Monday: 2pm-6pm; Tuesday-Friday: 3pm-6pm; every 4th Monday & occasionally: 12pm-6pm
The position is part time (approximately 16-19 hours per week)
Job Duties and Responsibilities
● Preference to be at least 18 years of age but may consider younger if applicant has experience caring for children.
● Ensuring the safety of the students in all situations within the Extended Care Program
● Having a positive and cheerful attitude with parents and students
● Supervise and assist students with homework and day to day needs
● Always know the whereabouts of each child
● Leading children in outdoors/ indoor activities and art projects
● Preparing and serving snacks
● Maintaining all supplies, equipment and materials
● Maintaining a clean and organized environment
● Possess or attain CPR/AED/First Aid Certification.
