About our School:
Divinum Auxilium Academy is a small, non-profit, private academy located at a beautiful facility on thirteen pastoral and wooded acres abutting the Shenandoah National Park in Front Royal, Virginia. Our curriculum encompasses a Montessori Primary and Lower Elementary foundation through third/fourth grade and transitions to a traditional and rigorous Classical curriculum thereafter, leading to the matriculation into our single sex upper schools: St. Joseph the Just and St. Edith Stein. We offer Catechesis of the Good Shepherd levels I, II, & III. Our class sizes are small and our curriculum diverse. In addition to core academics, we emphasize a well-rounded program of both fine and practical arts and we employ professional artisans and craftspeople as instructors. We operate on a 4-day academic school week, Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-3:00 PM. Fridays are a half day Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium program. Beyond teaching, duties will include maintaining and edifying a spiritually and emotionally healthy classroom environment, developing the classroom assistant, assisting in overseeing the schoolyard at lunchtime, helping with dismissal at the end of the day, routine cleaning and maintenance, and attendance at periodic staff meetings, parent teacher conferences and community events.

About the Position:
Currently the Primary Montessori class comprises approximately 15-20 students between the ages of 3 and 6 years. The limitations on the class size at present have entirely to do with the size of the classroom space that we currently have available.
Priority will be given to AMI certified candidates, but we welcome trained applicants with other Montessori lineages. Priority will also be given to candidates with Level 1 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd training, however, if Level 1 CGS training has not yet been obtained, a completion of the training within one year is strongly recommended and supported.
