Montessori Class Assistant

Divinum Auxilium Academy is seeking a nurturing, responsible, and committed assistant to help run an established Montessori classroom for approximately 15-20 children. The Assistant supports the children and works with the Lead Guide as a team for the benefit of the children in the classroom. Candidates with experience and/or certification in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd will be given priority.

The classroom assistant is an important support role and one that is regarded with respect and appreciation at Divinum. The assistant responsibilities include:

* Ensuring a clean and orderly environment

* Restocking supplies

* Assisting individual and small groups of children as directed

* Assisting with redirection and behavior management as well as conflict resolution

* Working together with the Guide to model grace and courtesy and build a harmonious, peaceful community

Divinum Auxilium Academy offers a Classical Catholic Education with a Montessori foundation. Our AMI and AMS certified teachers equip our youngest students with the physical, moral and academic foundation to nourish their innate love of learning while developing their relationship to God in their connection to the Good Shepherd.
