Chesterton Academy of the Holy Hearts is seeking talented and dynamic teachers with a passion for Catholic liberal arts education to join us for our inaugural 2026-2027 school year. Experience with classical education or a “great books” curriculum is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to teach an array of subjects within the disciplines of science and mathematics, literature, history, theology, philosophy, Latin, and the fine arts. Both full-time and part-time applicants are welcome.
Our teachers will cover a comprehensive curriculum in the following subjects:

Algebra II/Trigonometry

FINE ARTS
Art (studio and art history and theory)
Drama/Debate
Music (choir and theory)
Ballroom Dancing
Requirements
To teach HUMANITIES courses, successful candidates shall be skilled in teaching multiple levels of the following subjects: History, Latin, Literature, Writing, Philosophy, and Theology. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the subject or a related Humanities field is required.
To teach MATH or SCIENCE courses, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field is required, with previous experience teaching Math (Euclidean Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus) or Science (Geology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
To teach FINE ARTS courses, candidates shall be able to cultivate an understanding of beauty as a reflection of the divine while integrating Catholic principles and a classical perspective. Experience teaching fine arts is required. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in fine arts is preferred.
For all positions, candidates should have three to five years of teaching experience.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, and possess a track record of contributing to the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise. They should possess teaching ability, content excellence, and classroom management skills.
In addition to their teaching responsibilities, faculty at Chesterton Academy participate in mentorship through the House system, which is designed to promote character and virtue, and to help students grow in holiness. Faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body, assist in leading spiritual retreats and school activities, and joyfully witness to living a life in Christ. All faculty must profess an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium.
