Job Description:
*Promote the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools and model the teaching of the Catholic Church
*Support the growth and development of students in their faith
*Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging instructional activities aligned with system curriculum maps that encourage active learning and student participation
*Monitor and evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback on assignments, and maintain accurate records of grades and progress
*Foster a welcoming and disciplined classroom environment while supporting students through pastoral care, encouragement, and mentorship
*Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff regarding student progress and needs as well as attend parent-teacher conferences, school events, and departmental meetings to support the school community
*Take responsibility for classroom resources and the school environment, including creating bulletin boards and managing supplies
*Integrate relevant technology into teaching and stay up to date on new methods, resources, and developments in education to enhance instruction
*Plan, organize, and lead musical performances and manage the selection of music, instruments, and supplies
Qualifications:
*Bachelor degree or higher in K-12 music education from an accredited institution
*State certification with K-12 orchestra music authorization

*Knowledge of relevant technology
*Excellent verbal and written communication
*Good problem solving and decision making skills
