PREK-12th Grade Art Teacher

Archangels Academy, an independent K-12 classical academy rooted in Catholic tradition, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and faith-filled, part-time PreK- 12th Art teacher for our 2026-27 academic year. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for one called to the formation and education of young hearts and minds. At Archangels, the study of art focuses on both art appreciation and rendering in different media.

Candidates should be comfortable:

• Leading students to an appreciation of truth, goodness, beauty and God’s glory through art
• Developing students’ fundamental skills and techniques
• Teaching the vocabulary and essential theories of art
• Showing students the history of art and its importance in culture
• Inspiring students to be sub-creators of beauty

Opportunities for this position to grow into a full-time position are possible based on the candidate’s skillset and the needs of the academy.

Job Summary:

• Prepare a pacing guide to deliver lesson plans to students throughout the year.
• Manage the classroom and learning environment for student success.
• Communicate with parents and administration as to the students’ progress.
• Facilitate student learning using various teaching strategies including Socratic approaches.
• Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, and other duties assigned by the Headmaster.

Requirements:

• The person must be a practicing Catholic.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Candidate with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in Catholic, classical, liberal arts education is preferred.
