Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

Archangels Academy, an independent PREK-12 classical academy rooted in Catholic tradition, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and faith-filled, part-time Pre-Kindergarten teacher for our 2026-27 academic year. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for one called to the formation and education of young hearts and minds.

Candidates should be comfortable leading a pre-kindergarten classroom of students ages 4-5.

Opportunities for this position to grow into a full-time position or be combined with other part-time positions are possible based on the candidate’s skillset and the needs of the Academy.

Job Summary:

Develop a love for their faith, learning, and school during this foundational year before kindergarten.

Lead students to wonder about letters, numbers, nature, the saints, angels, and God.

Facilitate practice in fine motor skills for writing.

Foster the foundations of virtuous and orderly play and learning.

Engage students in a variety of modes of learning.

Prepare a pacing guide and lesson plans to order instruction throughout the year.

Manage the classroom and learning environment for student success.

Communicate with parents and administration as to the students’ progress.

Facilitate student learning using various teaching strategies.

Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, and other duties assigned by the Headmaster.

Requirements:

• Candidate must be a practicing Catholic.
• Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree.
• Candidate with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience in Catholic, classical, liberal arts education is preferred.
