7th/8th Grade Science Teacher (Part-time)

Archangels Academy, an independent K-12 classical academy rooted in Catholic tradition, seeks a highly motivated, talented, and faith-filled, part-time 7th-8th Science teacher for our 2026-27 academic year. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for one called to the formation and education of young hearts and minds.

Candidates should be comfortable teaching all or some of the following course: Life Science

Opportunities for this position to grow into a full-time position or be combined with other part-time positions are possible based on the candidate’s skillset and the needs of the Academy.

Job Summary:

Through wonder, lead students to an appreciation for the goodness, truth, and beauty in the study of the natural sciences

Develop logical and ordered thinking in students

Prepare a pacing guide to lead students to mastery throughout the year

Lead the classroom and direct the learning environment for student success

Facilitate age-appropriate experiments and hands-on learning

Communicate with parents and administration as to the students’ progress

Facilitate student learning using various teaching strategies including Socratic approaches

Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, and other duties assigned by the Headmaster

Requirements:

• The candidate must be a practicing Catholic
• Bachelor’s degree
• Candidate with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience is preferred
• Experience in Catholic, classical, liberal arts education is preferred
