Saint Michael Catholic School is seeking an experienced first grade teacher to form and educate young souls, in collaboration with parents, in the classical and Catholic intellectual tradition. The ideal candidate will be just as comfortable leading students outside for nature observation as he or she will be teaching the structure of language in the classroom. The candidate should understand their mission as partnering with families in student formation and should enjoy time spent in discussion with colleagues about art, music, and the Great Books.
All Saint Michael teachers are expected to model the teachings of the Catholic Church in their own lives and to be zealous in passing them on to our students.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the classroom and will have a solid foundation and understanding of the Catholic faith and the classical liberal arts tradition.
