Our Mission

At Bishop Machebeuf High School, we are committed to the development of the whole human person. Students are guided to live the Gospel values of the Roman Catholic Church. They are formed as disciples in Christ who are grounded in faith, forged in wisdom, and prepared to transform the future. We lead parents to assume their primary role as educators and catechists of their children. Our students and families experience rich Roman Catholic faith formation, a challenging academic curriculum, the Sacraments, the Sacred liturgy, and the opportunity to serve the Church and wider community in charity as loving stewards of God’s creation. Catholic liberal education at Bishop Machebeuf begins with an authentic view of the human person as created in the image of God to share in his divine life. Our pedagogy is oriented toward assisting the child in accord with his natural development toward a life of virtue. The liberally educated young adult is equipped to read, write, speak, listen, and reason well, to make right use of his leisure, to participate in “The Great Conversation” of the Western philosophical and literary tradition, and to grow in faith, hope, and charity on the road to Heaven. Our Integrated Humanities program addresses Pope Benedict XVI’s goal for Catholic education: “Catholic schools should therefore seek to foster that unity between faith, culture, and life which is the fundamental goal of Christian education.” We aim to form disciples to discover how they can serve God in the world and exhibit His love in the love of neighbor.

About Our School

Bishop Machebeuf High School prepares students to encounter Jesus Christ and to respond to His call. Steeped in the tradition of Catholic and Liberal Arts education, and inspired by the joy of the Gospel, we form students in a rigorous academic environment that integrates each student’s life, faith, and culture as they face the challenges of a contemporary, secular society. The school community reflects the universality of the Catholic Church and invites all students to become faithful disciples and citizens. Machebeuf students form a strong community through their desire to be disciples of Christ, their love for one another, and their participation in the life of the school and Church.
