Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Humane Letters Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in humanities, a commitment to liberal arts education, and a desire to integrate Catholic principles into the exploration of literature, history, and philosophy.

Responsibilities:

Develop and teach a comprehensive Humane Letters curriculum, focusing on the intersection of literature, history, and philosophy, infused with Catholic teachings and values.
Inspire students to engage critically and thoughtfully with classic texts, fostering a love for learning and a deeper understanding of human nature and morality.
Integrate Catholic principles into lessons, encouraging students to explore the moral and ethical dimensions of literature and history.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes discussion, critical thinking, and the development of analytical skills.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary connections and contribute to the overall academic program.
Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Humanities, Literature, History, or a related field with 12 credit hours in education.
Previous teaching experience in Humane Letters or a related field is highly desirable.
Commitment to integrating Catholic teachings into the curriculum and fostering the spiritual development of students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
A passion for liberal arts education and a commitment to inspiring intellectual curiosity in students.
Willingness to contribute to the vibrant Catholic school community through participation in school events and activities.
