Are you interested in Catholic work abroad? Want to preserve the light of Christ in the Middle East? Positions are available to teach in Erbil, Iraq at Mar Qardakh International School. MQIS is an English speaking kindergarten through 12th grade Catholic school operated by the Chaldean Archdiocese of Erbil. The elementary and middle school years are an International Baccalaureate authorized program and high school follows ASIC accreditation guidelines.

We are currently looking for teachers willing to work in kindergarten and elementary homerooms and various STEM and humanities subjects for middle and high school.

Contracts begin at one year with the possibility for extension. Housing and transportation to and from America are provided along with a stipend.

Erbil is located within the security of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and has had an ongoing team of Catholic American teachers since spring 2021 (we’re now up to nine!). Alumni of the program to date have come from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Christendom College, and Hillsdale College.
