Saint Michael Catholic School is seeking an experienced Latin and Middle School teacher to form and educate young souls, in collaboration with parents, in the classical and Catholic intellectual tradition. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Latin and be able to teach it from 2nd-8th grade. In addition, he or she will act as a Middle School Homeroom teacher and may be asked to assist with other Middle School courses. Candidates must understand their mission as partnering with families in student formation and should enjoy time spent in discussion with colleagues about art, music, and the Great Books.
All Saint Michael teachers are expected to model the teachings of the Catholic Church in their own lives and to be zealous in passing them on to our students.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the classroom and will have a solid foundation and understanding of the Catholic faith and the liberal arts tradition.
