St. Mary’s Catholic School’s mission is to provide an education that encourages children to encounter Christ and to develop a love of Truth, Beauty and Goodness through both Classical and Montessori pedagogy. As a 4th grade teacher the aim would be integrated teaching of the five core courses (Theology, History, English, Math, Science) in the Liberal Arts Tradition. We are utilizing curriculum from Memoria Press, Classical Academic Press, The Catholic Textbook Project, TAN Books, Sophia Institute among others to assist in our implementation of a Catholic Liberal Education. In addition the 4th Grade year will have a historical focus on American Exploration, The Ohio Year.

Requirements:
Hold an appropriate Ohio teaching license (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach
Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks
Have attended or be willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Candidate must complete an online teaching application with the Diocese of Columbus
