St Jerome Academy begins with a Montessori House made up of four classrooms: one toddler room and three primary rooms.
The primary rooms serve children ages 3-5 and most children stay in the same environment for 3 years. Within each classroom, there is one lead teacher and two classroom aides. Each class has approximately 30 students. Each classroom has an Atrium for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Students complete a three-hour work cycle each morning. Most students stay for a full day of school while others only attend half day.
The teachers aide is responsible for assisting the teacher in student development, providing direction and correction for students and maintaining the environment. Needed skills include: Communication, understanding of silence, temperance, and a joyful disposition
