St. James the Less Academy (SJL Academy) is a brand new classical liberal arts Catholic School, the first of its king from its inception sponsored by the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The school will open in August 2024. We are looking for passionate Catholic educators who want to join an exciting project to open a new school, see their work as a vocation serving the evangelizing mission of the Church, and appreciate the renewal in Catholic schools through the classical model. We seek to hire up to 10 positions in the first year.
Mission Statement: In collaboration with their parents, St. James the Less Academy forms our students in the image of Jesus Christ through a classical liberal arts education that cultivates the theological, intellectual, and moral virtues so they may persevere to meet their God-given potential to become mature, complete persons in service to the Church, their family, and our country.
Motto: Perseverantia perfecti: “Perfected through perseverance.” derived from James 1:4: “Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete (perfect), not lacking anything” and James 1:12: “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”
