Job Description

Position/Job Goal:
Spiritus Sanctus Academy Plymouth is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time science teacher for grades 6-8. The ideal candidate will have a background in science, a love for teaching, and a commitment to the Catholic intellectual tradition. In this role, the selected candidate will provide instruction in the disciplines of Earth Science, Biology, and the Physical Sciences. The selected candidate will also act as a role model for students, and work in collaboration with faculty and staff to advance the the mission of the academy.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in science and/ or education with a concentration in science is required.

Current State of Michigan Elementary or Secondary Teaching Certificate with Endorsement in Science or certification from a state with a reciprocal agreement with Michigan or willingness to obtain MI certification within two years of hire.

Two to Five years of teaching experience is preferred.

Must be a practicing Roman Catholic willing to take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium and a Profession of Faith.

Must demonstrate excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.🕊️

Possess an understanding of the vision and mission of an apostolic and educational enterprise.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and education.
