Fully remote literacy specialist position! Join our growing company that provides Catholic literacy support and special education support! We are looking for a compassionate and patient teacher who is familiar with literacy struggles and special education struggles. You must have excellent classroom management skills and be able to work well in a fast paced environment. If you are not familiar with literacy struggles, but are still interested, we are also open to those who have taught in K-4th grade levels but who want to switch and try something different.
Secret Garden is a Catholic, online company serving students who struggle with learning. Most students we work with individually. We see all different learning struggle types (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, ASD, APD, etc.), and most of the students have mild-moderate struggles.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
Commitment to sign an Oath of Fidelity to all the magisterial teachings of the Church
Flexibility and enthusiasm for teamwork, collaboration, and collective efficacy
Excellent communication skills
Ability to learn, embrace, and deliver Secret Garden instruction to students
Ability to pass all background checks
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience (preferably K-4 grade)
Experience with and appreciation for the Classical education
Orton Gillingham training
Strong imagination and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities:
Teach students with learning struggles
Follow lesson plans and collaborate with team to move students through curriculum
Effective classroom management
Note-taking on student progress
Excellent and prompt written communication
Salary – DOE and training qualifications (if you are interested and are not trained, there is the possibility of tuition assistance for the correct training programs)
