Position Title:  Lower grade elementary classroom teacher

Position Type: Full Time for the 2025-2026 school year

 

Job Description: The ideal candidate must be dedicated to providing a 21st-century education in a rigorous Catholic school environment. The candidate must possess a valid California Teaching Credential and have prior experience teaching primary grades in a Catholic school with a strong knowledge of first grade curriculum.  The candidate will be able to foster the spiritual, academic, social and emotional growth of each student.

We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill a teaching position in first grade for the 2025–2026 school year.  This is a full-time job, which entails teaching religion, reading, language arts, math, social studies, and, as well as performing various supervisory duties.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:  consistent with Diocesan and local site goals, philosophies and specific objectives based on assessment of student needs.

·        Have a BA/BS, or advanced degree

·        Have a current California teaching credential

·        Be a practicing Catholic with experience teaching religion

·        Ability to work in a positive and collaborative manner with colleagues

·        Be able to implement current technology: using computers, iPads, laptops, Chromebooks, Google classroom and Google calendar, and maintaining a webpage

·        Be able to communicate effectively with parents using a variety of communication forms; conference, phone, email

·        Plan and execute subject matter effectively; well versed in Common Core ELA and Common Core Math

 

Salary Compensation: $60,408 – $75,524
