Dyslexia Interventionist Teacher

Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a full-time Dyslexia Interventionist Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Dyslexia Interventionist Teacher fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by providing engaging and active instruction, possessing content knowledge and teaching experience, and nurturing the students’ sense of wonder and natural curiosity. The ideal applicant should understand how a Catholic worldview permeates the curriculum and instruction, understand the role of the moral imagination to elementary education, and be an intentional disciple of Christ committed to providing a Gospel witness. Experience, knowledge, and understanding of working with students with dyslexia and specific reading disabilities required. Candidates must also possess excellent classroom and student management skills and be able to engage students with different learning styles.
Education and certification requirements
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for teachers as set forth by the Diocese and TCCBED as well as possess:
- Education Certification: certified teacher in the State of Texas
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required, Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- Certification/License: Valid Texas Teaching certification required and either
- Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP)/Licensed Dyslexia Practitioner (LDP) preferred or,
- Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT)/Licensed Dyslexia Therapist (LDT) highly preferred
