Job Description
Saint Agnes School is now accepting applications for a full-time long term substitute (Third Grade Homeroom Teacher) beginning December 2024 through approximately mid-March 2024. The position’s primary duty is teaching all core subjects to students in grade 3. Daily duties include lesson planning and delivery, grading student work, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents, student supervision, and collaborating with colleagues.
Saint Agnes School seeks a highly motivated individual who can offer a daily and positive witness of his/her Catholic faith. Desired candidates also have a passion for educating and forming Christian youth, as well as possess an interest in collaborating with other instructors. Important characteristics include building positive working relationships with adolescents, a focus on student learning, classroom management, the ability to collaborate on a team, the ability to integrate some technology into instruction, and competence in the variety of subject areas taught. Saint Agnes seeks teachers who possess a love of learning, devotion to the school’s mission and philosophy, and a desire to support the intellectual and spiritual development of each student.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts degree
- Teaching License – preferred, but not required
- Experience – preferred, but not required
- Other Desired Qualifications:
- Polished and effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and deliver effective lesson plans
- Ability to manage well a classroom environment
- Ability to relate well with students
- Willingness to support and serve co-curricular programs
