Elementary Principal

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield in Illinois seeks dynamic and joyfully Catholic individuals to help us “build a fervent community of intentional and dedicated missionary disciples of the Risen Lord and steadfast stewards of God’s creation who seek to become saints,” (Fourth Diocesan Synod, Statue #1).  We invite applications from candidates eager to lead Catholic Elementary Schools and that desire to share the riches of the Western Intellectual Tradition, and to enthusiastically share the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Catholic faith with students and families.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will:

·         Possess at least a Master’s degree, preferably in the Liberal Arts or Education Administration, with 3-5 years of relevant experience.

·         Be a practicing Catholic with good moral character, enthusiastically living out the teachings of the Catholic Church.

·         Have a deep knowledge of various instructional methods and strategies.

·         Engage students effectively and work cordially and productively with parents, colleagues, staff, administrators, and Advisory Council members.

·         Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have unquestioned integrity in handling confidential information and situations.

·         Treat others with respect, courtesy, tact, friendliness, empathy, patience, and kindness.

·         Be knowledgeable, professional, energetic, hard-working, and student-centered.
