Website Sacred Heart Catholic School Cashton, Wisconsin

Sacred Heart Catholic School, Cashton, is nestled in “God’s Country,” a small rural village among the ridges and Amish of the driftless region of Wisconsin. The School consists of 14 families and 33 children with the hopes of increasing enrollment through greater access to a liberal arts education and Catholic pedagogy. Another unique feature of our School is the double-grade classroom, which means that 4K and 5K, 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th, and 7th and 8th grade students learn together. Due to this uniqueness, teaching might be required to help the teachers.

This position is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced teacher who is interested in becoming a school leader. The Headmaster will continue to spearhead the mission, vision, and renewal of Sacred Heart School toward an authentic liberal arts education in the Catholic intellectual tradition. The Assistant Headmaster will assist the Headmaster with the administrative duties and day-to-day operations of the School. It is expected that the Assistant will be faithful to the expectations of the Headmaster while also contributing his or her candid thoughts and opinions about matters pertaining to daily school life. Since I am a priest, it will be very helpful to have another school leader who will be available to the students, families, teachers, and staff for the full day while school is in session and excited to advance the mission of the Church through the apostolate of the School.

We will enter our second year with our partnership with ICLE and are interested in launching a three-year renewal with our School families toward a full integration of the Catholic Liberal Arts Education. Interested candidates must be practicing Catholics who are either educated in the Church’s teachings on education or open to learning. The candidate must also be eager and passionate in serving the Church, students, families, teachers, staff, and parish communities, especially in seeing each student as a unique individual human being created in the image and likeness of God and belonging to a community. This will include building bridges with all involved communities.
