Website Regina Pacis Academy Norwalk, Connecticut

Regina Pacis Academy is the first Catholic school in the state of Connecticut and one of the first twenty schools nationwide to achieve the honor of being a Newman guide recommended school!

We are seeking applicants for an elementary (Grade 2) full-time teaching position for the 2025/2026 school year. Our beloved 2nd grade teacher is going to be welcoming her first child and will be a stay at home mom. While we are sad to see her go, we are in a time of great growth, and we are looking for passionate educators called to the vocation of teaching!

This lead homeroom teacher would be responsible for planning and teaching all subject areas (literature, language arts, mathematics, science, history, religion) to their assigned grade level homeroom.

An ideal candidate would be:
-A faithful, practicing Catholic, willing to make a formal Profession of Faith and take an Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church
-An experienced, certified teacher having at least 2 years of classroom teaching or tutoring experience
-An individual who is organized, prompt, and adaptable to changes in the classroom
-An educator who loves learning, strives to help each student grasp the concepts taught, and manages the classroom with a firm but loving manner

At Regina Pacis Academy, our educational approach is centered around enabling our students to pursue and achieve academic excellence through a classical model, while immersing them in an authentically Catholic environment in which they will be exposed to the goodness, the truth, and the beauty of God. Successful educators at our school will not only be those who can employ the classical approach well and encourage each child to achieve their full God-given potential, but who are themselves living witnesses of their Catholic faith who desire to hand down to our students the faith which they have received.

With these principles in mind, applicants are strongly encouraged to comment on the following in their letters of interest:
1) Your previous experience with teaching from a classical curriculum, or your knowledge, appreciation for, and understanding of the unique benefits of a classical curriculum in pursuing academic excellence
2) How your own active practice of the Catholic faith will influence your approach to fostering an authentically Catholic classroom and school environment for your students
