Development Manager – FULL-TIME

Regina Angelorum Academy (RAA) seeks a Development Manager whose primary responsibility will be planning, implementing, and managing the school’s development efforts and initiatives. The role will maintain donor records, ensure donors are appropriately acknowledged and celebrated for their generosity, and manage communications to keep donors aware of the school and the enduring impact of their gifts. The Development Manager will also support the President and the Board of Trustees in developing and executing key fundraising campaigns and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, in coordination with a volunteer committee, the Board, and the President, all school fundraising events including, but not limited to, the RAA Walkathon (fall) and the Forward in the Faith Gala (spring); support volunteers leading school fundraising initiatives during community events
  • Ensure effective tracking of stewardship activity through management of donor information (using Salesforce)
  • Manage gift acknowledgement for all levels of giving by providing timely, personalized, and professional gift acknowledgement, tax letters, and stewardship reports
  • Support donor recognition, engagement, and stewardship events and activities
  • Contribute to the creation of both short-term development priorities and a long-term development vision (capital campaign-planning, annual giving, etc.)
  • Coordinate the production of the Annual Report
  • Coordinate and manage all volunteers involved with development initiatives and events
  • Work closely with the communications team to ensure philanthropic impact stories are shared to honor donors and that all donors are communicated with on a quarterly basis through the school newsletter
  • Prepare briefings in preparation for board meetings, stewardship events, and individual stewardship meetings, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Commitment to RAA’s mission to “bring children to Jesus Christ,” in accordance with the teachings and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of related work experience, including fundraising, event-planning and oversight, and volunteer management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in drafting and preparing professional correspondence
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; FACTS database management system a plus
  • Ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, parents, volunteers, benefactors, and Board members
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, act with discretion, and maintain a high level of performance under pressure
  • Ability to work without supervision and organize, prioritize, and successfully execute multiple concurrent tasks and major events; to anticipate needs and act accordingly; and to perform with a high degree of initiative and integrity
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

  • Professional experience in Advancement, Development, Donor Relations, Stewardship, or a related field in education or non-profit organization preferred.
  • Experience with FACTS, Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, GiveSmart, Salesforce or a similar relationship management system.
