Regina Academy at St. John the Baptist, a Catholic classical school for students in grades PreK-8, is seeking a teacher for the Fifth Grade classroom. We are looking for applicants with liberal arts degrees, though individuals with teaching degrees should also apply.

The position requires teaching across the curriculum – Religion, Language Arts, Math, US History, and Latin. Experience with classical education is desired, however training will be provided.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals who can be a clear witness to the Faith, love learning, and are committed to the mission and philosophy of the Academy. Candidates should have a passion for teaching and forming the whole person – spirit, mind, and body – as well as a desire to work collaboratively with other teachers. Important characteristics would include strong classroom management skills, focus on academic excellence, and positive working relationships. Teacher certification is not required.

Daily duties include lesson planning and delivery, communicating with parents, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:
Practicing Roman Catholic, able to sign an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium
Teaching experience – License/ Certificate not required
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to pass all background checks
Willingness to support and serve co-curricular activities
