Chemistry Teacher: Long-Term Substitute

Oakcrest School, an independent school for girls in grades 6-12 inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church, located in Vienna, Virginia, seeks a full-time, long-term substitute chemistry teacher starting in February, 2026.

Applicants should possess:

• A minimum of three years’ experience teaching science within a range of grade levels (9-12);
• Bachelors in chemistry or a related subject is preferred;
• Excellent communication skills and an understanding of the developmental needs of adolescent girls;
• Experience with and desire to collaboratively work as part of a team;
• Commitment to excellent teaching and to continued professional development;
• Desire to involve oneself with the school and communicate effectively beyond the classroom.
