Special Education Teacher

Holy Trinity School, a PreK-12 school located in Winsted, MN, is accepting applications for a full-time special education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The special education teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs within our Catholic liberal arts educational setting. The teacher will work closely with students, parents, and other staff members to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of each student. This position requires a commitment to the Catholic faith, a strong understanding of special education principles, and a dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:
1. Actively practicing Catholic
2. Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field
3. Valid teaching license/certification in special education preferred.
4. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
5. Strong understanding of special education laws, principles, and best practices.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
7. Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of Holy Trinity School
8. Ability to integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into classroom instruction.
9. Demonstrated ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.
10. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help all students succeed.
