Preschool Lead Teacher
DESCRIPTION
Holy Trinity Catholic School is seeking a joyful, faith-filled person to join our preschool team as a lead teacher in our play-based program. We have a small family-like environment and are looking for someone to lead one of our preschool classrooms in providing a safe, loving, well organized and fun classroom in which children can grow their love of learning and faith.
The ideal candidate will be willing to share in our mission of helping our students get to heaven while preparing them for high school and beyond. Holy Trinity School is a conservative, traditional Roman Catholic school which boasts small class sizes and a connected family like community. Our faculty works collaboratively with one another to provide a challenging curriculum rooted in holiness that is presented through quality instruction and is authentic to our Catholic faith.
DUTIES:
Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the developmental age and interest of all students.
Be responsible for instruction of curriculum in assigned class
Organize and plan lessons
Maintain rules and procedures for classroom behavior that result in a positive and fair learning environment
Assess student learning on a regular basis and provide progress reports to parents
Maintain current and accurate records as required by law and school policies
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians
Participate in staff development opportunities per DHS licensing requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Be an actively practicing Catholic who has a desire to share the faith with students
DHS Teacher qualified, Teaching License preferred
CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire
Develop and maintain a positive atmosphere with colleagues
Patience working with young learners
Good classroom management skills to work with a variety of behaviors of young children
Ability to take direction from the preschool director and principal
