Full-time Elementary Teacher

We have multiple openings and would consider hiring a group of teachers who are looking to start their careers in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Part-time positions may be combined into a full-time teaching position.  We can offer low rent on our five-bedroom rectory, located adjacent to St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, as a benefit.

Position: Full-time Elementary Teacher

Salary: $26,000+ (Salary commensurate with years of teaching experience)

Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary: Completed or in the process of obtaining
Experience: Preferred
Practicing Catholic: Preferred

Job Description: Two full-time, contracted elementary teachers.

Subjects: phonics/reading, math, science, history, grammar, writing
Develop and implement lesson plans based on the Classical Catholic Curriculum.
Evaluate student learning through observations, assignments, hands-on projects, and testing.
Establish and maintain a positive, cooperative, and productive learning environment.
Regularly communicate with parents and school staff about student progress and needs.
Provide individual and small group instruction to address specific learning challenges.
Work with other teachers, specialists, and support staff to support student learning.
