Catholic high school education is coming to Wilmington, NC August of 2025!

Named after Maryknoll founder and Wilmington, North Carolina native, Father Thomas F. Price Catholic High Schoolwill start its inaugural ninth grade class in a few months.

Wilmington, an historic and vibrant coastal city, has two parochial schools, several parishes, but is in critical need for a preparatory school of the highest quality for our growing Catholic community.

The school’s central mission will be:

I.         An Authentically Catholic Education   A school faithful to the Magisterium in helping students to learn and grow in an engaging environment.

II.         An Integrated Humanities Great Books Curriculum  The Catholic faith is rich in intellectual and classic tradition, with our school focusing on Truth, Goodness and Beauty as its tenets.  Students will learn an advanced curriculum which will establish Father Price as a premiere intellectually rigorous school in the Wilmington area.

III.         Affordability   Since Wilmington has been without a Catholic high school for many years, Father Price is looking to grow as quickly as possible. The long-term goal is for this school to be a large presence in the Wilmington Catholic community.  With a goal of maximizing the ability for Catholic education for as many Wilmington students as possible, tuition will be reasonable, with a goal of building and growing scholarship funding.

The Father Price Board of Trustees is currently conducting a search for a Headmaster/Mistress to help launch this new school and join the team Spring/Summer of 2025.  The ideal Candidate to fill this important position would be a faithful, practicing Catholic and possess:

·      An Advanced degree (MA, PhD.) in a related academic field (e.g., History, Mathematics, Theology, Classical Literature.)
·      Leadership experience in Catholic education or related fields.  Experience in a start-up environment is a major plus.
·      Experience in an integrated Humanities (Classical School, Quadrivium/Trivium, etc.) curriculum.
·      External fundraising experience (Both large and small efforts)
·      Experience with a Board of Trustees.
·      Flexibility and creativity in a fast-paced environment
·      Interested in making history!

Headmaster would have to be living in Wilmington by Summer of 2025.
