The ideal candidate is an energetic, joyful and organized instructor responsible for planning, preparing, teaching, grading and sharing his/her love for the Great Books and the Church. Candidates need at least a bachelor’s degree (strong preference for graduate degree) and several years of experience teaching, Literature, History, or Theology at the middle or high school level. Understanding of classical pedagogy is necessary, as well as the ability to manage a classroom.
This teacher will primarily be responsible for teaching classes in Literature and Theology, though one must be capable of teaching middle-school or lower high school level courses in Latin, History, or Science as needed. An additional element of this role is to serve as a homeroom teacher and advisor, coaching students on a daily basis in successful study habits, developing social skills, and virtuous living.
