The ideal candidate is an energetic, joyful and organized instructor responsible for planning, preparing, teaching, grading and sharing his/her love for History. This is part of our integrated core curriculum in which students investigate primary sources and artifacts from the Ancient/Greco-Roman world (9th Grade), through the Medieval (10th), Renaissance (11th), and into the Modern US (12th). These courses are complemented by Literature courses reading sources from the same periods. The willingness to teach a sequence of semester-long courses in Civics and Economics (12th Grade) is also required. Candidates need at least a bachelor’s degree and experience teaching History or Social Studies at the middle or high school level.
This role may be filled by several part-time instructors or a single full-time instructor.
